Our Story

It all began when brothers Steve and Robert Boneso decided to combine their skills from their experiences in business as well as the trades and begin their own Plumbing & Wet Mechanical Company. Thus, Boneso Brothers Construction, Inc. was founded in 1999 as a Plumbing and Mechanical contracting company that initially served San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. What started as a small business with one division has grown into a medium-sized construction company providing full service Plumbing & Pipefitting and HVAC & Sheet Metal divisions with coverage from Santa Barbara County North as well as East. We are proud to be able to offer our services for multiple markets and are excited for future projects.

Our success lies in our commitment to excellence and our strong, family-oriented culture. Here at Boneso Brothers Construction, we strive to bring you the best quality work on a project that could be offered, all while working with integrity. We are certain that you would be more than satisfied with the work provided, the people you work with and the overall outcome of each and every project.

We couldn't do what we do without our wonderful and talented staff members. Each person contributes to Boneso Brothers in an individualistic way and makes up our family-oriented company.

Boneso Brothers is very proud of the family values that are evident in the company. We are proud that we have generations of families that are employed with our company as well as several siblings which is a great example of our family culture. Boneso Brothers believes that these family values give them an upper hand to corporate competition when it comes to loyal employees. Although Boneso Brothers is a medium-sized company, these values, along with our experienced employees, makes us a contender in the Plumbing and HVAC industries.

Without teamwork, it is hard to get large projects completed in a pristine, efficient manner. Our employees work together to ensure that every project is completed satisfactorily, on-time, and within budget. Tying in with the other core values of the company, the family feel the company possesses creates an environment in which teamwork is not only easy to come by, but it is highly encouraged.

Here at Boneso Brothers, everyone is held to a high moral standard. We are proud to be able to say that the way we do work is ethical and honest. Integrity is an important trait for any company to have and we wholeheartedly possess it.

We pride ourselves on our efficiency on each and every job. Not only is efficiency helpful for us as a company, it is an invaluable trait for us to possess for our customers. With this trait comes quality work completed in a timely manner.

Each employee is highly trained and skilled and is fully committed to their position. Here at Boneso Brothers, we are committed to going above and beyond what is expected and providing you with the best quality work available.

At Boneso Brothers Construction, safety is of the utmost importance. Boneso Brothers operates on the stance that "No job is so important and no service so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely." Here at Boneso Brothers, we operate a reward program for commitment to safety. A prize is offered for each month in which there is not a single time-loss accident at work and is awarded at random.

~ Safety's no accident.~

Community Outreach

Boneso Brothers has a strong presence in the community and are large supporters of local programs and charities. Below you will find some of the programs we support here and what they are all about.

California Mid-state Fair and The California State Fair

4-H and FFA are two programs that are extremely relevant in our community for young people. Boneso Brothers enjoys helping the young people in our community with their projects and watching them grow over the years.

Livestock Auction

Each year, Boneso Brothers attends the livestock auctions at the Mid-state Fair and at the California State Fair. There they support the young people who have spent all year raising an animal. We believe that these programs, ones that take action seven days a week, teach and encourage responsibility and work ethic. We have watched many participants of this program  grow up to become leaders in our community and are happy to support such an impactful organization.

Industrial Arts Project Auction

The Industrial Arts Project Auction allows for 4-H and FFA members to create a project such as a BBQ, a table, or a fancy ice chest and then sell it. The projects often require the skills of welding or woodwork. As young individuals, Rob and Steve grew up with the same vocational education of learning how to build something with your hands, as did many of their employees. They view this vocational education as something that is beneficial to their workplace and to the industry and enjoy encouraging these young students to continue with their passions.

Jack's Helping Hand

This local program helps aid families with children with disabilities to meet the physical, mental, or medical needs that the families cannot afford. Jack's Helping Hand has touched numerous families in the San Luis Obispo community and Boneso Brothers is proud to be a part of it. Rob and Steve attend the annual auction fundraiser, the Imagination Park Fall Golf Classic, and are supporters in getting the Jack Ready Imagination Park up and running.

Jail Vocational Program

This program is a partnership between the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 403, allowing inmates to enter into a training program that teaches welding techniques. Through this program, these inmates will have the opportunity to become certified welders with the Local 403, giving them a future after they are released from custody; one they may not have had before. One of the program participants now works for us and Boneso Brothers is very proud to be a part of this program and be able to positively contribute to people's future.
